What is a DUNS number and how do I get one?
Recently SAM.gov changed its unique identifier from the old DUNS number system to a new system called Unique Entity ID. This number is a unique 12-character ID assigned by SAM.gov, and as a part of the transition the DUNS number has been removed from the website.
Existing registered entities can find their Unique Entity ID by following the steps here.
To get a new Unique Entity ID head to SAM.gov and click Get Started.
More info about the transition can be found here.
Please note this number is not generated or used by Bonfire, but may be requested by some Purchasing Organizations as part of their qualification or risk assessment.
