How do I know my submissions will be secure?
The Purchasing Portal is secured with 256-bit TLS encryption, the same level of encryption that is used to secure online banking and other online financial services.
The TLS encryption creates an end-to-end encrypted 'channel' between your computer and our servers - any information (text and files) that you upload can't be intercepted or read by a third-party. Additionally, your information is encrypted again and sealed once it's uploaded. If you're bidding on an opportunity in Public Sector, your proposals and pricing documents remain sealed until a Project's Close Date, at which point the buying organization can view it securely.
You can see evidence of this secure TLS connection in your address bar in Internet Explorer 7+ and all modern browsers - look for either (1) https:// at the front of the URL, (2) a small lock icon, (3) a green background color in the address bar, or (4) some combination of these indicators.
In addition, we use CloudFlare to protect your website from a range of online threats from spammers to SQL injection to DDOS.
